Afang soup is a popular traditional dish from the Efik and Ibibio people of southern Nigeria. It is made with afang leaves and waterleaf, combined with meat, fish, crayfish, and seasonings to create a rich and flavorful meal.
Edikang Ikong is a famous vegetable soup from the Efik and Ibibio people of Cross River and Akwa Ibom States. It is made with a rich mix of fluted pumpkin leaves and waterleaf, cooked with meat, fish, crayfish, and palm oil.
Ekpang Nkukwo is a traditional, highly regarded delicacy native to the Efik, Ibibio, Annang, and Ejagham people of Cross River and Akwa Ibom States in Southern Nigeria. It is a rich, hearty pottage made by grating and wrapping a mixture of cocoyam and water yam in tender leafy greens (traditionally cocoyam leaves) and simmering them with assorted seafood, meat, and palm oil.
